Building a new apprenticeship provider, utes and all.
As the construction industry grew, so did the need for qualified builders. To tackle the skills shortage, we created a new apprenticeship brand for UP Education called Builders Academy.
Builders Academy was up against a large, established competitor, so the new brand needed to stand out at building sites. The distinctive brand identity incorporates elements of quality, boldness, craftsmanship and strength.
Within 12 months of launching - Builders Academy was training 1000+ carpentry apprentices a year, had formed a partnership with Registered Master Builders and had over 50 branded Ford Rangers on the road around the motu.
We designed the brand identity with the help of our friends at Form & Function. Central to the brand design was a unique and versatile ‘BA’ monogram, along with a simple colour palette of black, white and high-vis orange.
